Dream Gear drone rental terms

These terms apply to all drone rentals and sit alongside Dream Gear's standard rental terms.

  1. No bond. We don't take a security deposit on drone rentals.
  2. Damage. If the drone or any accessories are returned damaged, the renter is liable for the repair cost. Liability for repair is capped at $1,000, the replacement value of the drone.
  3. Total loss, theft, or non-return. If the drone is lost, stolen, not returned, or damaged beyond economic repair, the renter is liable for its replacement value of $1,000.
  4. Condition and assessment. Dream Gear records the condition of the drone and accessories at handover and on return, and determines whether damage has occurred and the cost of any repair or replacement, acting reasonably.
  5. Lawful and safe use. The renter is responsible for operating the drone lawfully and safely, including compliance with all Civil Aviation Authority rules, airspace and no-fly-zone restrictions, privacy law, and any local regulations, and for holding any certification their intended use requires.
  6. Liability. The renter uses the drone at their own risk. To the extent permitted by law, Dream Gear is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, fine, or claim arising from the renter's use of the drone, including harm to third parties or their property, or any consequence of unlawful, unsafe, or inappropriate operation.
